Mr. Epps to Receive Distinguished Statesman of Aviation Award

December 02, 2015

Epps Aviation is pleased to announce that Mr. Pat Epps has been selected as recipient of the National Aeronautic Association's Wesley L. McDonald Distinguished Statesman of Aviation Award.

Founded in 1905, the National Aeronautic Association is a non-profit membership organization, and the oldest national aviation club in the country. The NAA is "dedicated to the advancement of the art, sport and science of aviation."

The NAA fosters opportunities to fully participate in aviation activities, while also promoting public understanding of the importance of aviation and spaceflight to the United States. Its scope encompasses all areas of flight; from skydiving and private jets to commercial airlines and military aircraft.

Not only does the NAA certify all global and national aviation records, it's also the caretaker of some of the most renowned aviation awards in the world. The award was established in 1954, and is one of the organization's most cherished and historical awards. This accolade celebrates those with jobs in aviation who have made notable and valuable contributions to aeronautics and the nation as a whole.

Recipients will be honored at the Annual Fall Awards Banquet, held this year on December 3rd in Arlington, Virginia. In addition to Mr. Epps, five other gentleman will be recognized that evening, each with longstanding careers and achievements in the plane services industry.

Mr. Epps has led our fixed base operation through much success over the years, and we are thrilled that his outstanding service and dedication are being acknowledged on this level.
