Charter Pilot Bernie Jager Honored with Aviation Award

Every year, the NBAA Dr. Tony Kern Professionalism in Aviation Award is bestowed upon those individuals who have a continuous history of extraordinary participation professionalism in business aviation. Recipients have demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities, outstanding achievements, and significant contributions in the following six categories: Vocational Excellence, Professional Ethics, Continuous Improvement, Professional Engagement, Professional Image, and Selflessness.

On August 25th, Mr. Bernie Jager, a Charter pilot with Epps Aviation, received this very award at the annual GBAA Safety Day in Atlanta. Bernie was nominated by Mr. Doug Harman, Chief Pilot, who felt his hard work and dedication to charter services was well-deserving of this level of recognition.

Bernie's incredible attention to detail and efficiency has been an invaluable asset to our team. Not only is he the person responsible for initiating Epps' Safety Management System, but he also serves as a check airman for our company. Bernie, a Georgia Tech alum, has been a charter pilot with us since the year 2000. He also owns a Mooney aircraft, which he flies with his wife, Kim, when he's not flying passengers for Epps. With regards to his recent accolade, Mr. Epps said, "Atta boy, Bernie!"
